What you'll do
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Testing Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications. You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to identify defects, validate new features, and deliver a seamless user experience.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Validate UI/UX consistency across browsers and devices.
- Test REST APIs using tools like Postman.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release testing.
- Ensure applications meet quality, usability, and performance expectations.
- Contribute to improving QA processes and testing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing SaaS or enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
- Experience with cross-browser and responsive testing.
- Familiarity with API testing using Postman.
- Understanding of Git and modern development workflows.
Nice to Have
- ISTQB Foundation Certification.
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced product environment.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and release management.
- Basic understanding of performance and security testing concepts.
