Backend Engineer (Go / Golang)

We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer with expertise in Go (Golang) to build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services. You will work closely with Product Managers, Frontend Developers, and DevOps engineers to design APIs, optimize system architecture, and deliver reliable cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Go (Golang).
• Build and maintain GraphQL APIs (gqlgen) and RESTful endpoints.
• Implement clean, maintainable architecture following Hexagonal (Ports & Adapters) principles.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas using GORM.
• Manage database migrations using Atlas DB and maintain database documentation.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT and OTP-based authentication.
• Integrate third-party services including Google Maps, Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and Google Cloud Storage (GCS).
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go (Golang).
• Experience building GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of Hexagonal Architecture, Clean Architecture, or Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and GORM.
• Knowledge of JWT authentication and API security best practices.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, performance optimization, and distributed systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Go Workspaces (go.work).
• Familiarity with Atlas DB, DBML, and Taskfile.
• Experience deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with caching, message queues, and background job processing.
• Experience working in startup or SaaS environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
• Familiarity with AI integrations and LLM APIs.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
